Staycationing in Hell: A Week with the Hellcat Challenger (#1)

by Patrick Rall on

Some people use a week off to fly off to some exotic location, but for my week of vacation time this year, I don’t have plans to go anywhere. My life revolves around our vehicles and our horses, so when I get a chance to take a week off of work, I look forward to having more free time to do the things that I enjoy around town — a “staycation.”

My week off of work happens to overlap with my testing time in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, so my week will be spent driving the 707 horsepower Mopar muscle car around town. Some people dream of laying on the beach in Hawaii – I dream of spending my days traveling the roads of Michigan in the most powerful muscle car ever sold to the public.

I chose the title “Staycationing in Hell” because it is undeniably catchy, but there is no question that this next week of driving will be absolute bliss. From first-person perspective driving videos to exhaust sound videos of the 707hp monster in action, I will capture the thrill of driving the Hellcat Challenger as best as possible with my GoPro while detailing my daily driving experiences.

Stay tuned, as Allpar brings you the most detailed Hellcat Challenger review you will find anywhere, from a lifelong Mopar lover and owner.
