Wagoneer for Europe, too

by David Zatz on

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is to be sold in Europe as well as the United States, according to a reliable source. It is on the large side for most countries, but may not need to sell in large numbers to be profitable.

The big Jeep would likely be sold with a VM diesel outside North America to help fuel efficiency.  The gasoline V6 used in Grand Cherokee may also be available, with stop-start and an eight-speed automatic.

The Wagoneer has been rumored for years, but it now appears to be not only official but definite.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
