Chrysler Newark reunion

by David Zatz on

Newark Assembly Plant

The University of Delaware, which purchased the former Chrysler Newark plant in 2009, is holding an open house for former Chrysler employees “and others” on October 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The event will be at the Administration Building on 540 South College Avenue, on the site of the plant, with access via the north entrance through the new atrium. Via Wayne Scholz.

Attendees have been asked to register before arriving.

The University already has a digital collection of oral history from former employees of the plant, which started making tanks and ended up making Dodge Durangos.

Thanks to Bill Cawthon for the open house link.
