Ram or Jeep to get Justice, Bear?

by David Zatz on

Three new trademarks have been registered by FCA US, according to Steven St. Laurent, two of which are likely for Rams and one for a Jeep. All three are for “Motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, their structural parts, trim and badges.”

The trademarks are:

  • Justice
  • Big Bear
  • Smokey Mountain

Most new names go to concepts, with some ending up on trimlines or special editions of ordinary models — but some become models or regular editions, such as Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or Jeep Patriot Trailhawk. (Shown above is a past “sneak peek” of a Moab concept.)

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
