Testing a Chrysler 200S

The Chrysler 200 series has garnered some high praise from auto critics; Allpar itself has now tested two versions, the 200C and 200S, both at the high end of the range, especially when equipped with a V6 engine and all wheel drive.

What we found was a car quite unlike the Jeep Renegade, which we found to be fun but not quite fully baked. It was smooth and quiet, and while the nine-speed naturally does a lot of shifting, it was not noticeable to passengers. There were some vexations, including having the stereo come on each time the car was started (no matter how it was left when the car was shut off), though. Moving from the 200S to a Volvo S40 made getting in and out of the Chrysler seem like less of a problem.
