Awaiting the 2017 minivans (updated)

by David Zatz on

Tomorrow morning, at 7:30 am, Chrysler will officially unveil its new minivans in Detroit, according to the company’s own previews.  Unusually, the photos and releases have been kept under perfect control, without any breaks— at least, not so far.

Sources have generally agreed on the basic layout: a Pentastar V6, nine-speed automatic, hybrid variant, and new 200-like front styling, as seen in this months-old rendering by Suzq44. Whether these details are correct or not remains to be seen.

Public discussion and debate on the new minivans is unusually strong for an essentially utilitarian vehicle.

A thread discussing the latest rumors and speculation is on our forums page.
