New stripes, more Plum Crazy cars

by David Zatz on

The Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat cars have now generated more than 61 million YouTube video views. They have, so to speak, earned their stripes, just as Plum Crazy paint has earned another month of life.

New dual full-length body stripes, finished with a carbon-fiber pattern, run from the front fascia, over the roof, down the deck lid, and to the rear fascia; they go around the hood vent. Ordering starts this month with a list price of $995.

Dodge will now let buyers use a full color pallette with these stripes, as well — white, Redline Red, TorRed, black, metallic gray, metallic silver, Jazz Blue, ivory, Steel Metallic, and Plum Crazy — extended for another month past original plans.

Plum Crazy paint is now available on the 2016 Challenger SXT Plus and above, and on Charger SXT (with 20 inch wheels) and up.
