Pacifica launch: new shots, scrum, video

by David Zatz on

The launch of the Chrysler Pacifica minivan is extremely important to FCA, which invested billions of dollars into engineering and plant refitting — and millions of dollars for a new “set” at the Detroit Auto Show, which will doubtless be used in Chicago and New York as well.

The “set” is much darker than the plain white setup used to save money over the past few years (it cost millions to set it up, was shipped from England and transported in over 100 trucks to Cobo Hall), but it is also more eye-grabbing.

We have two videos now, a quick “scrum” shot and a longer voiceover showing the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in video. Also see our full 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan coverage; personal impressions will be presented later today, but one respected journalist said it knocked his socks off.
