NYC show sets record

by David Zatz on

The New York Auto Show, open through April 3, boasted “record  crowds,” though without actual numbers.  The show’s press release called out one car — the Maserati Levante — along with “60 plus” other debuts.

The opening day included a brief event where Governor Cuomo gave the keys of a specially adapted Toyota RAV4 Hybrid to wounded U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jeffrey Hackett. Toyota contributed the car, complete with special controls to accommodate Sergeant Hackett’s injuries.

More than one million visitors are expected to attend the ten-day event.  Full show coverage.
