Roadkill/Dodge Nights expanding

by David Zatz on

The Dodge brand is sponsoring The Enthusiast Network again to expand Roadkill Nights, a drag racing event and pop-up car festival which will now appear in two cities.

(See last year’s story on the Roadkill Nights event at the Woodward Cruise last year.)

Stops this year include the Kansas Speedway (Kansas City) on June 18, and a return to Woodward Cruise Week in Pontiac, Michigan, on  August. 19.  Cash prizes will be given to Dodge drivers who finish in first, second, third and fourth place at each event (details).
Over 10,000 people flooded the gates at the first Roadkill Nights event. Tim Kuniskis, head of Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat (US), wrote, “Even more than a pure enthusiast event filled with drag racing, thrill rides and live music, Roadkill Nights gets people off the streets and onto a track run by professionals, so they can really show how their hot rods perform in a more controlled environment.”

The Kansas event is free for spectators; racers can register for $50 per vehicle. VIP packages including a spot in the race, visits with the Roadkill hosts, and other benefits are $150 per person. The event will have a Show ’n’ Shine area, live music, food trucks, and giveaways. Michigan event details will be released later.
