111 Chargers for record CEMA showby David Zatz on June 8, 2016 at 8:44 am EST CEMA, the Chrysler Employees Motorsports Association, is expecting a record turnout for this year’s show, with 111 pre-registered Chargers and a total of 345 pre-registered cars. Given decent weather, another 150 day-of-show entries are expected. The event poster and a limited-edition Charger T-shirt were designed by FCA’s Ren Stone; there will be some “very nice items” raffled off, and a silent auction with “three very unique items.” Attractions include Joe Pappas of the Motown/Mopar Missile crew with the 1970 Motown Missile Challenger and 1974 Mopar Missile Duster. Bob Larivee, Sr., “Mr. Autorama,” will talk about hot rods in Detroit, selling his book ,autographed, at a discount. Dodge and Jeep are both providing display cars. The show will take place on June 11, rain or shine, from 9 am to 4 pm (details), and celebrates: The “Class of 1966” cars The 50th Anniversary of the Dodge Charger The 75th Anniversary of Jeep The show is open to all vehicles, with a $20 show fee (advance discounts were provided). Food and a DJ will be available, with vendors. Mark Trostle, head of Dodge and SRT design, will give a talk at 11:30 in the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, which will be open for the occasion. This year’s local charity is the Rochester (Michigan) Leader Dogs for the Blind. Last year, CEMA proudly made a $6,000 donation to this charity and are pleased to be able to support them again.
