Dodge sponsoring Pontiac raceway

by David Zatz on

Dodge is sponsoring a new racing park in Pontiac, Michigan, dubbed the M1 Concourse.

Dodge will have a large presence on four-acre venue, which has a 2.5-acre skid pad and a 1.5-mile speedway, aside from having the Dodge Viper ACR designated as its official pace car.

As part of the deal, two Dodge Viper ACRs will be used at all track events, including driving schools and M1 Motorsports Club events. Dodge is also providing Dodge Viper GTS, Charger SRT Hellcat, and Challenger SRT Hellcat cars to the M1 Performance Fleet. The Fleet cars can be used by members of the M1 Motorsports Club and driving schools open to the public.

The first official M1 track event is scheduled for June 25. Both a private club and public destination, it will have enough private garages for a thousand classic cars, restaurants, auto-focused businesses, and year-round programming, including car shows and  concerts.
