Fiat 124 first drive

by David Zatz on

Allpar’s Patrick Rall was in California recently to test drive the Fiat 124, taking a base model through the highways and byways for hours, then switching over to an Abarth for racing on the track.

Fiat 124 Spider test

In our full story, Patrick talks about acceleration and power (“When you get out of those tight turns, the turbocharged torque gets the 124 right back up to speed with a great deal of urgency”), ride (“the new Fiat has ride quality unlike many small sports cars,”) handling, and creature comforts.

Overall, Ram-and-V8-Dodge owner Patrick Rall was impressed with the little sports cars, which he said feel better than the Mazda Miatas – and are faster and better looking as well. Full Fiat 124 test drive.
