Mopar Action’s publisher closed; MA lives

by David Zatz on

Harris Publications, which produced Mopar Action is shutting down after 39 years, but this may not be the end for Mopar Action.  Publisher Cliff Gromer wrote, “Mopar Action is working with another publisher to keep publishing. Stay tuned for details.”

The magazine’s publisher, Cliff Gromer, was a Popular Mechanics writer and editor before joining High Performance Mopar and then Mopar Action in 1990.  He has been called one of the “men who lived life to the fullest in the golden age of horsepower.”

Editor Rick Ehrenberg has been building, tuning, and racing Mopars since 1957, and has a remarkably wide range of expertise, ranging from vintage to modern Mopars. His background includes electronics, mechanics, and physics; he was technical editor for High Performance Mopar before joining Mopar Action.

The magazine’s web site is still active, with numerous articles posted, as is an Allpar archive of authorized reprints.  Thanks, Mike LaLouette.
