Will a past rendering be the future Cherokee?

Recently, we posted a rendering of a 2018 Jeep Cherokee, and was told it was not traditional enough. Today, we wonder if this 2011 Susan Rand rendering of the future Cherokee may be more on target.

The Cherokee is to get a more traditional front, though it may well keep the “slots go up into the hood” look. The basics of the body profile are likely to remain as they are today, diverging somewhat from the image.
