CarPlay/A-Auto plans slip out

by David Zatz on

Allpar member “Moparian” noticed that the press release for the Dodge Challenger T/A let slip news of UConnect 4:

… all-new Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen fourth-generation radio, … also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to further smartphone integration.

Based on this, the fourth-generation UConnect will debut in the Dodge Challenger T/A Plus.  The only new capabilities mentioned are support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but when the system is formally introduced, more upgrades or enhancement may be announced.

Update: UConnect 4 was previously announced with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
