Rocking the Woodward Cruise

by Patrick Rall on

Once again, the FCA display at the corner of 13 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak was one of the biggest and most popular stops along the Woodward Dream Cruise route.

After attendees registered, they could participate in interactive displays, including a 24th scale drag racing slot car set with Mopar race cars, spray-on tattoos, a Viper virtual drive simulator, and plenty of free stuff, including shirts, stickers, and posters.

There was also a Mopar apparel trailer on sight, offering all sorts of Mopar, Dodge, Ram, Jeep Fiat and Chrysler branded goodies.

As has been the case in past years, the vehicles in the FCA display included a spread of concept cars, SEMA show cars, current production vehicles, and privately owned classic Chrysler Group vehicles.

Visitors can climb in and check out the interiors of new cars that they might not ever have a chance to experience otherwise,  including the Hellcat Challenger and the Dodge Viper.

Some of the other cars on display included a Bob Bondurant school Fiat 124, an original Army Jeep next to a modern tribute vehicle, and the Ram 2500 Power Wagon.DSC_5860

Patrick Rall was raised a Mopar boy, spending years racing a Dodge Mirada while working his way through college. After spending a few years post-college in the tax accounting field, Patrick made the jump to the world of journalism and his work has been published in magazines and websites around the world.
