Selling Magneti?

Reuters reported that several companies have approached FCA to buy Magneti Marelli, an auto parts division created in the last century as a joint venture and later taken over by Fiat.

Mr. Marchionne was asked about rumors swirling around the sale of the business to Samsung, while at the Sterling Heights stamping plant today. Current rumor has just the telematics portion of the business going to Samsung. Mr Marchionne did not comment on Samsung specifically, but the sale would both extend Samsung’s trade firmly into automotive and provide much-needed cash to launch new FCA products.
