SM: Still no Dart/200 partner

by David Zatz on

The Associated Press reported today that FCA still had no partner for Chrysler/Dodge compact or midsize cars, according to Sergio Marchionne.

He also said that Magneti Marelli would be better off outside FCA, and that FCA had made no changes to Chrysler’s sales reporting systems, which he said dated back to the 1980s, when they took over in 2009. The latter was in response to a question about a Justice Department and SEC investigation into sales reporting issues, which resulted in a restatement of years of sales in both the US and Canada; Mr. Marchionne reiterated that the financial figures were unchanged.
