Dodge sponsoring auctions

by David Zatz on

Dodge is the new, exclusive automotive sponsor of the famed Mecum Auctions. The auto auctions will include Dodge branding and vehicles, and Dodge will advertise and brand in related television, print, and online publicity.

On September 8-10, auction attendees in Louisville will be able to take Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Challenger SRT Hellcat, and Dodge Viper thrill rides.

Dana Mecum, founder and president of the auctions, said that “… those [muscle cars] boasting the Dodge brand from the late ’60s and early ’70s continuing to command top sales,”  particularly Hemi Challengers; one recently sold for $1,650,000.

Mecum now has 20,000 lots per year and averages more than one auction each month.
