Mopar Mega Block Party

by David Zatz on

Reading, Pennsylvania will host the first Mopar Mega Block Party, in a free event at the FirstEnergy Stadium from 4 pm to 10 pm on September 29, to ring in the nearby NHRA Keystone Nationals drag race.

The Mega Block Party is a spinoff of the 15-year-strong Mopar Block Party before the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals near Denver.

Race stars participating in an hour-long autograph session will be Matt Hagan,  Leah Pritchett, Tony Schumacher, Jack Beckman, Tommy Johnson Jr., Erica Enders, Jeg Coughlin Jr., and Allen Johnson. They will also test their Hemi power in the charitable Mopar Home Run Derby, while a car show will include fans’ classic, concept, drag race, and modern-day Mopar muscle.

The Raminator monster truck will do a car crush demonstration and provide fan rides. There will also be a children’s playground with a bounce-house, giant slide, mini-golf, and speed pitch station.

Mopar giveaways and gear will be up for grabs throughout the entire night, with food and drinks also available for purchase. Three bands, Go Go Gadjet, Liquid A, and TJ Bebb, will play, with a closing “mega fireworks” display. Full details are at the Mopar site.
