Is this the 2019 Jeep Wagoneer? (Spy shot)

by David Zatz on

Is this the 2019 Jeep Wagoneer? Spy photographer Glenn Paulina wrote, this is “a never-before-seen model that clearly looks to sit atop the range both in size and in grandeur.” That would make it a Wagoneer.

In the photos, you can see the Wagoneer compared with the Grand Cherokee; whether it’s really larger is hard to say, since the photo we have is of a poster, and the vehicles on it were likely photographed separately. The basic shape is that of the Grand Cherokee, but there are enough differences to make it clear which is which.

It’s also possible that we’re simply seeing the next generation Jeep Grand Cherokee — again, photographed on a different scale. The Grand Cherokee’s redesign is due in a fairly short time, and Mike Manley made it clear that he saw the Wagoneer as having trim differences rather than being a completely different vehicle.
