Hybrid minivan: still 80 MPGe, coming soon

by David Zatz on

FCA has created a new “building wrap” for its Auburn Hills headquarters tower, celebrating the impending release of the Pacifica hybrid — still predicted to deliver 80 MPG-equivalent when running on electricity (which it can do for around 30 miles when fully charged).

The plug-in hybrid was announced as being ready for sale by the end of 2016, and it seems that Chrysler will be meeting that deadline with time to spare. Google is already running early models with their autonomous vehicle controls.
