Minor ’16 Dart recall

by David Zatz on

On looking at warranty claims, someone at FCA noticed that a supplier had been providing windshield washer pumps with electrical connections that could short circuit and stop the wipers from working.

This prompted a recall of around 54,000 Dodge Darts, all from the 2016 model year. Nearly all were sold in the US, with around a thousand in Canada and just 43 in Mexico. The company is not aware of any related injuries or accidents.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
