Allpar’s biggest blunders

by David Zatz on

Today, Allpar.com kicked off a contest to find the biggest blunders on the popular car enthusiast site, which covers former Chrysler Corporation brands, former AMC brands, and, to a much lesser degree, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati.

There is one grand prize for the person who brings in the most useful screwups, with other prizes for:

  • Wow, that’s a big screwup!
  • Dang, how long has that been there?
  • Really, nobody ever noticed that?

Other possible categories include unfinished pages, repeating urban legends, odd illustrations or photo choices, massive quantities of mis-spellings, using the future tense for cars that have come and gone, and bad links, at the discretion of the judges. Entries will be judged by importance, quantity, and subjective criteria.

Prizes range from polo shirts to books, with the winner taking one from each of three categories.

The contest is open now through February 24; prizes will be given out starting in February and continuing through March. Full contest rules and submissions are both in one forum thread.
