Super Bowl: “All Alfa”

by David Zatz on

FCA put three ads into the Super Bowl this year — one 60-second spot, two 30-second spots — and every one was about Alfa Romeo.

The company pushed the history of the company, its Italian base, and the sportiness of the new Giulia, which has just started to arrive on American shores.

Past commercials have generally focused on domestic brands, though Fiat has been featured as well. Now that Ram, Jeep, and Dodge are firmly established in their characters, and Chrysler is temporarily down to two vehicles, FCA has apparently decided that launching its “new again” Alfa Romeo brand should take priority.

You can see all three ads in Michael Dickens’ writeup on Allpar.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades.
