Spied: Wrangler roof

by David Zatz on

This new photo of the next-generation Jeep Wrangler (JL) shows its three-piece removable roof, with elements of its front bumper thanks to a camo-slip.

From looking at this image, it seems as though Allpar sources were right — the outer windshield frame is permanent and provides structural support, protecting against rollovers and possibly helping to reduce weight (by reducing the need to reinforce the lower part of the Wrangler). There may be another frame in the back, but that’s still covered; and it appears there is something in the middle, where the Sport Bar is today.

The mirrors are also of some interest — but are highly unlikely to be production pieces.  See the 2018 Jeep Wrangler page.
