Jobs open at Trenton

by David Zatz on

FCA has posted numerous jobs at its Trenton Engine plant, as the company transitions to upgraded Pentastars, the new Hurricane engines, and straight-six engines.  Qualified people can find listings in production, maintenance, process improvement, controls, and financial analysis.

These are not your father’s factory jobs: one sample is the maintenance area supervisor, who has to minimize variability by using process capability analysis while cutting waste.  The requirements are a technical/engineering degree, at least five years’ manufacturing experience (with journeyman status), or ten years of technical/manufacturing experience.  Applicants need to know advanced technical problem-solving tools, and have “excellent communication skills (written and verbal).”

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology. You can reach him by using our contact form (much preferred) or by calling (313) 766-2304
