by David Zatz on

There were about 20,000 visitors that day. The Chrysler club had a selection of 25 cars (only one per model was allowed). Special guests included Peter Grist, who wrote a book about the famed designer.  He was asked to vote for the cup-winning car, and chose Roland Versteeg’s 1961 Plymouth Fury convertible. The car marked the end of Exner’s dominance at Chrysler.  Courtesy Hans Ensing.
