by David Zatz on

You can now register to legally drag-race down the famed Woodward Avenue on August 12, 2017, at Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge. The festival, run by TEN: The Enthusiast Network,  takes place at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan; registration closes on July 26.

The total cash purse is $29,000, with $10,000 going to the quickest Dodge (powered by a Dodge engine).

Not just everyone can race; applicants must provide some history and send photos of their car, to be reviewed by a team.

This year’s event includes thrill rides in Dodge Hellcat cars and Vipers; a show area; dyno runs; manufacturer midway; Demon drag racing simulators; stunts and exhibitions; BMX shows; a family zone; live music; and food. NHRA Top Fuel dragster driver Leah Pritchett and Funny Car driver Matt Hagan will do exhibition runs in a 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon.

General admission for spectator tickets is $10 per person (half price for Pontiac residents at the event). Children 12 and under are free.
