For 25 years, Mr. Keegan has worked his way up through finance, sales, supply chain management, and human resources, positioning him as a possible candidate for chief operating or chief executive officer, following the retirement of Sergio Marchionne next year.  His most recent stint was being head of North American human resources; he will continue his secondary role as Coordinator of the Group Executive Council (GEC), reporting directly to CEO Sergio Marchionne.

His role in Human Resources is being taken up by Barbara Pilarski, who started with Chrysler 32 years ago, and is also the vice president of business development.
