When do the 2018s start?

After forum members started asking about when production of 2018-model-year vehicles would begin.  Allpar was able to obtain a schedule, per plant:

Belvidere: 2018 Cherokee (KL) orders are open, and production began on July 24, 2017

Brampton: Orders are open for the Challenger (LA), Charger (LD), and 300 (LX); production for all three began on July 24.

Jefferson North: 2018 orders are open for both the Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) and Dodge Durango (WD), and production began on July 24.

Toledo: Jeep Wrangler (JK) orders will open on August 10, 2017, and production will begin on October 2, for both standard and Unlimited.

Toluca: Journey (JC) and Compass (MP) orders are open. The Compass started up on June 30, 2017, and the Journey will start on August 28.

Warren: Orders for the 2018 Ram 1500 Quad Cab and Crew Cab (DS)  are open. There is a shutdown for the week of August 14, presumably for retooling and maintenance, with 2018 production starting on August 21. (Allpar was previously told that Ram 1500 diesels would be built in accordance with normal production schedules, and customers reported that their orders for 2017s had been converted to orders for 2018s.)

Windsor: 2018 Grand Caravan (RT) will open for orders on October 12, with production starting on December 4. Certain parts of the van will be altered to meet 2018 safety standards.  2018 Pacifica (RU) orders are open, and production begins on August 7.

Melfi (Italy): 500X (FB) production begins on October 26. The Renegade (BU) will open for orders on September 11, with production starting on November 21.

Saltillo: Orders for the 2018 Ram 2500 (DJ), 3500 (D2), and Chassis Cab (DD and DP) are open now, with production starting on July 31. The Ram 1500 regular-cab (DS) is open for orders, but production won’t start until September 4.

Saltillo Van: 2018 orders for the ProMaster (VF) are open, and production began on July 24.

Tofus (Turkey): ProMaster City (VM)orders are open and production began on July 24.
