Woodward Mopar-sketching

by David Zatz on

FCA US won’t have a huge display at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year — though their sponsorship of the Roadkill Nights certainly qualifies as participation and publicity.  Still, Mopar lovers on the Cruise who aren’t going down to the M1 Concourse will have a consolation prize: an FCA engineer sketching cars on demand.

Local car designer and FCA engineer Ryan Goimarac, a recent graduate from CCS, will have a tent and table posted on Woodward during the weekend of the dream cruise (Thursday-Saturday) to raise money to help purchase a vehicle for a friend, Stephen Carey, who has recently been battling cancer and is presently in remission.
Ryan will sketch cars with pen and paper (and colored markers), and is only asking for is a small donation. The goal is to get a safe, used vehicle for Stephen, who lost his own car when another driver struck and totaled it.  Due to his medical bills, Stephen and his parents have been unable to set any money aside to get him a replacement car. Ryan wrote, “Any amount will help, and we are thankful and grateful to any contributions.” (If you aren’t going to the Cruise, see their GoFundMe page.)
