FCA Foundation grants

The FCA Foundation released a list of its most recent grants.

Communities In Schools, which works with over 2,300 low-income schools, uses a system they say is proven to keep the most vulnerable students in school — $250,000.

FIRST in Michigan, to support robotics and Lego competitions by offsetting student costs; FCA US employees often volunteer, as well. — $265,000

National College Access Network, which promote supports  organizations that help underrepresented middle and high school students aspire to, apply to, and succeed in college, partly be spreading best practices — $200,000

Other sizable donations went to:

  • Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program, which increases student interest in STEM topics and helps students through STEM programs.
  • Winning Futures: a life-skills and career readiness mentoring program for at-risk and disadvantaged students in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb.
  • Women of Tomorrow: mentoring and providing scholarships for at-risk young high school women in Michigan.

The FCA Foundation focuses on youth development, support for veterans and their families, education, and service, providing over $4 million in funding to charitable organizations this year.

FCA US employees are also given 18 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer their time and skills to their communities.
