Following in the footsteps of earlier campaigns, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles launches new national ads for the Jeep Renegade this week featuring a lineup of four young, mostly urban, female recording artists.

The new campaign features 23-year-old New Jersey singer Halsey in the lead spot, backed up by a trio of some even younger relative newcomers to the music biz: Molly Kate Kestner, 21; chanteuse/actor Uri Gray; and 14-year-old SoundCloud star Chloe Nixon. All four broke into the business by making an impact on social media on their own before being signed to recording contracts.

The Release Your Renegade campaign consists of four, 30-second spots, each of which emphasizes female freedom of expression, as spoken and sung by the four artists. There are links to the four ads here.

Jeep has used urban-music-driven ad campaigns for the Renegade since it launched in 2014. In 2015 it built a campaign around a song by the X Ambassadors, of Brooklyn, N.Y. That band was lucky enough to be working a song they decided to call "Renegades" after a visit from FCA chief marketing officer Olivier Francois approached them. The song later became a radio staple.
