Wrangler JL in motion (video)

by David Zatz on

First it was spy shots of the next-generation Wrangler in the factory, then in the wild, and now it’s video.

Did we mention the entire owner’s manual being posted?

Various sources have spilled the beans on the off-road-ready full-time four wheel drive system, the Hurricane Four (with or without belt-starter-generator system), the continued V6, the eight-speed automatic (with a nice low first gear for crawling), and four user-assignable auxiliary switches.

What’s next? Though sources claim there will be a V6 diesel for the American version, it doesn’t show up in the owner’s manual, and probably because it will end up as a 2019 feature.  There are also hints that Jeep may drop the “Wrangler vs Unlimited” dichotomy and go to just “two door” and “four door.”
