First 2018 Wrangler JL photos

by Chris Vander Doelen on

In case you missed them in our features section, we have posted the first official photos of the two-door and four-door versions of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL.

FCA chose Halloween to reveal the face of the new Jeep Wrangler at SEMA in Las Vegas, but is sticking to its plan to keep all details under wraps until the end of the month.

The four photos shows horizontal daytime running lights have been added to the updated, trademark face of the brand, along with a distinctive vent just aft of the front fenders – more clearly visible below on the Rubicon.

The trademark seven-slot grille has also been updated: a faint backward lean can be seen at the top of the slots, which now curve back slightly toward the wind shield.

Chris Vander Doelen was Opinion Editor and columnist of The Windsor Star until December, 2016; he was the Star's automotive reporter and columnist for seven years, and had also covered the political and gambling beats. With his wife, Veronique Mandal, he wrote the book Chasing Lightning (1999). Chris won a National Newspaper Award in 1997 and more than a dozen provincial news awards. There is a Chrysler 300 in his driveway.
