The mystery of the pentastar stickers, found in J.P. Joans’ collection of Chrysler memorabilia:

pentastar stickers

Roe Green described what each sticker was for:

The gold stickers (top right) identified cars assigned to executives for product evaluation.  These were loaned out without cost; they could get a free car wash and fill up from the company’s on-site gas pumps.

Blue stars with white trim were used on pool cars that anyone could use (first come, first serve), if they had to travel for the company.

The inverse (white stars, blue trim) were used by Engineering for testing. Likewise, the black stars with silver trim were used by Engineering — for emissions testing.

They may not be the most significant part of Mopar history — but they are a part of that heritage.
