Ram gets in on Mojave action with a new Power Wagonby David Zatz on September 18, 2018 at 2:07 pm EST Around the world, millions of Mac computer owners are getting set to install the Mojave edition of their operating system, due next Monday. Ram lovers will have to wait a little longer for their own Mojave editions; the 2018 Ram Power Wagon Mojave Sand package isn’t going to hit dealerships until the fourth quarter of 2018, and even then, there aren’t going to be more than 1,500 to go around. Mojave Sand paint was the most popular color on the Ram Rebel; this marks the first time it’s available on a Ram Heavy Duty truck, but it’s being limited to the Power Wagon. The special edition truck has new all-black wheels as well, with an all-black interior. The package also has a 8.4-inch touchscreen and the Heavy Duty Luxury Group, which includes LED bed lighting, overhead console power heated/fold-away mirrors, and a universal garage door opener. The cost for the big, off-road-focused Crew Cab pickup is $54,830, not including $1,695 in continental-US destination fees. The Power Wagon itself is based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, but has a unique suspension with more than two inches of lift, 14.3 inches of ground clearance, front and rear locking differentials, an electric disconnecting front sway bar, 33-inch tires, and a 12,000-lb. winch; it’s [owered by a 410 horsepower, 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine.
