Ram loads luxury onto pickup for Texas Rodeoby David Zatz on September 27, 2018 at 11:08 am EST Ram revealed a new trim level, the 2018 Heavy Duty Longhorn “Ram Rodeo” Edition. It’s based on the Longhorn trim, with added content to honor Texas — whose autowriter’s association has named the Longhorn the Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas two years in a row. The Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition adds a suede headliner against contrasted interior colors such as Black and Cattle Tan; on the outside, buyers get body-colored bumpers and side-steps, badging, and 20-inch aluminum wheels (with optional painted pockets) except on the duallies, which have 17-polished aluminum wheels. The Ram Rodeo includes a fifth wheel/gooseneck trailer prep package and bed-view camera for easy hitching, and has Ram’s exclusive rear air suspension for load-leveling. The package is available in Crew or Mega Cab, with rear or four wheel drive, and a 6.4 liter Hemi V8 or Cummins diesel. The cost is $60,790 for the Ram 2500 Ram Rodeo, and $71,260 for the Ram 3500 Ram Rodeo, not including $1,695 for destination charges; both will be available in the third quarter of 2018.
