Mopar is ready with Gladiator add-ons

by David Zatz on

Mopar’s Jeep Performance Parts group has over 200 parts and accessories ready for the 2020 Jeep® Gladiator; to show them off, Mopar modified a Gladiator Rubicon and showed it off at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Some options include a 2-inch lift, tube doors, spray-in bedliner, tonneau covers, beadlock wheels, bed-mounted cross rails, off-road lights, and a truck bed storage system. The “419” — Toledo’s area code — is stamped into the bed of every Gladiator, Moparized or not, as Automotive News’ Larry Vellequette discovered.

Mopar has access to the digital design files for the Gladiator, making perfect fits easier; extensive testing and validation allowed Mopar to provide a factory warranty.  Most of the parts will be ready on launch, in the second quarter of 2019.

The concept Gladiator had the lift kit, tube doors, rock rails, and two sets of LED lights; a mesh sun bonnet provides an open-air feel. The pickup also has five-spoke wheels, a hood decal, blacked-out grille, and windshield tied-down straps. In back, bed-mounted cross rails work with a bike carrier and truck bed storage system with lockable, dual sliding drawers. The interior has Katzkin seats, grab handles, molle bags, and all-weather floor mats, while the engine has a cold air intake and cat-back exhaust.

Some other accessories are bed ramps (from the Ram 1500), composite door sill guards, hard-trifold, soft-trifold, and soft rollup tonneau covers, hood and side graphics, and special bumpers. The LED lights shine at up to 8,000 lumens (for the seven-inch model). Jeep Performance Parts is on the Mopar web site.
