On the 2019 Ram 1500’s side is the standard engine’s mild-hybrid system, also available with the optional V8. Both are paired with TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmissions, strategic weight reductions, and aero improvements.

The 2019 Ram 1500 is 225 pounds lighter than the 2018 model, using advanced materials and engineering to cut weight while increasing stiffness and durability for 12,750 pounds of towing capability and 2,300 pounds of payload. The list price is $31,695 plus a $1,645 destination fee. Green Car Journal started in 1992.
