Sublime arrives late for 2019 Challenger and Chargerby Patrick Rall on January 31, 2019 at 11:32 am EST After a three-year hiatus, Dodge announced late yesterday afternoon that Sublime will return to the color chart of the Challenger and the Charger starting sometime in February. The “new” color will be on display on each of the cars at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show and this light metallic green will be offered on every trim level of the muscular coupe and sedan. “Our Dodge//SRT muscle cars give our customers what they want, an incredibly wide variety of performance models and high-impact color options. Whether it’s Sublime paint, all-wheel drive capability or 797 horsepower, Charger and Challenger stand out,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT – FCA North America. “By bringing back a high-impact color like Sublime across the 2019 Challenger and Charger lineups, we’re continuing to give our enthusiast customers another way to make their muscle cars even more unique when they showcase the legendary Dodge performance attitude.” Sublime was last offered on the Dodge Challenger in 2015, when it served as the most popular exterior option for the first year of the SRT Hellcat package. During that model year, Sublime was available on the entire range of Challengers, making it one of the most popular colors across the model line for that year. As for the Charger, the last time that you could get this bright green on the sedan was back in 2007, when the R/T Daytona featured Sublime as one of the unique color options of that package. When Sublime arrives later this year for the 2019 Challenger and Charger, it will mark a variety of modern-day firsts. This will be the first time that the Charger Scat Pack or Charger SRT Hellcat have been offered in Sublime, it will be the first time that the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody – and of course the new Redeye – have been offered in Sublime and finally, 2019 will mark the first Sublime Challenger T/A since 1970. Sublime joins B5 Blue, Go Mango, F8 Green, Plum Crazy and TorRed on the list of Dodge’s “high impact colors”, all of which draw their inspiration from classic Mopar muscle car colors.
