Ram Black and Night Editions unveiled at Texas State Fair

by David Zatz on

Today, Ram Truck unveiled the Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition and Heavy Duty Big Horn and Laramie Night Editions at the State Fair of Texas.  It was an appropriate place, given that the Ram 1500 was declared Truck of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association.

2020 Ram 1500 Limited Black

The Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition darkens the luxurious Limited and adds a few options—22 inch black wheels, a tonneau cover, and a sportier hood. The blackening treatment applies to the grille letters (RAM), badging, tow hooks, exhaust, LED headlamp and grille surrounds, bumpers, door handles, and side-view mirrors. The option pack is available with any of the three engines, in rear or four wheel drive, starting at $53,690 plus destination.

The Heavy Duty series also gained two Night Editions, for the Big Horn and Laramie models. They have a monochromatic design with (as one would expect from a “night edition”)  a black grille with body-colored surround, black badging, dark headlamp and taillamp bezels, and black 20-inch wheels; for the first time, the dual-rear-wheels models will have 17-inch black wheels with machined pockets.

2020 Ram Heavy Duty Cummins diesel

The Ram Heavy Duty Night Edition is available on both the Ram 2500 and 3500 Crew Cabs, with rear or four wheel drive, and the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 or 6.7-liter Cummins diesel; the base price starts at $37,995.
