Speedkore Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody is a 1,525hp masterpiece

by Patrick Rall on

Leading up to SEMA, one of the most anticipated debuts was that of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody from Speedkore.

This is the same company that built the carbon fiber bodied Dodge Demon that currently holds the quarter mile world record for the limited edition Challenger, and like that monster muscle car, this super sedan features a twin turbo setup from Gearhead Fabrications.

The result of this partnership, which also included Magnaflow, is a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody with a full carbon fiber body and a twin turbocharged Demon Hemi that delivers 1,525 horsepower with a trick front- and rear-exit exhaust system. But they didn’t just stop there, as they also added a high performance all-wheel-drive system that allows this monstrous sedan to make use of all of that power.

Interestingly, this car did not begin its life as a widebody model. It was actually a Charger Pursuit that Speedkore re-bodied in carbon fiber using the body measurements of the new widebody Hellcat. Next, the build team installed an engine from a newer Dodge Demon, but rather than the 2.7-liter IHI supercharger, it is topped by a custom intake manifold that is mated to a pair of Precision 6466 ball-bearing billet turbochargers that are artfully mounted behind small openings in the front fascia.

Magnaflow produced an exhaust system that vents out the rear as normal, but there is a secondary system that vents in front of each front wheel, through the carbon fiber body. With the flip of a switch, track exhaust mode sends the gases out the front rather than all of the way to the rear of the car.

Power from this incredible Hemi is sent to all four wheels by means of a Hellraiser performance transmission paired with an FTI torque converter, a custom billet transfer case from Traction Products and a carbon fiber driveshaft from the Driveshaft Shop. Finally, a set of Mickey Thompson ET drag radials provide traction from all four corners while also creating a pretty wicked stance.

Finally, the cabin of this carbon fiber, twin turbo, Demon-powered Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody features a custom shifter, custom seat skins and a roll cage.

So far, we don’t know what kind of quarter mile times this Dodge Charger will run, but we bet that they will be impressive. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures.
