Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition being delivered now

by Patrick Rall on

Earlier this year, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition was introduced with a unique exterior design and 10 extra horsepower. When we first learned about that car, the automaker expected that the Hellcat Daytonas would be delivered during this calendar year and based on posts on social media, the first units are being delivered this week.

The first social media post that caught our attention was in the SRT Hellcat and Demon Facebook group, where a gentleman named Dan Rocheleau shared a pair of pictures showing scores of Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition cars lined up in a transport lot in Canada. Rocheleau is the Group Controller for Motor City Chrysler in Windsor and when he passed by this lot chock full of 717-horsepower Charger Daytonas laat week, he knew that people would be interested, so he snapped a few pictures.

As you can see in these shots, there are Charger Daytona Hellcats in B5 Blue, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle – each of the four colors offered with this limited edition package. Rocheleau was kind enough to let us share these pictures and with this many units in the transport lot, there was little doubt that the newest supercharged Charger would be shipping soon.

The First Units Arrive

After seeing Rocheleau’s post on Saturday, we began checking dealerships around the United States and it seems that while several have Daytona Hellcat Chargers in transit, none have taken delivery (as of this morning). However, while visiting the Mopars of Toronto Facebook page, I found a post by Keith Ghuman.

Ghuman is salesman at Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Toronto and on Monday morning, the dealerhsip received its first 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition.

As you can see in the pictures here, the car delivered to Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is a B5 Blue unit and Ghuman told us that it is car #315 out of the 501 slated for production.

He sent over all of the individual shots shown here and he pointed out that Daytona Hellcat Charger #315 is available for sale. Keep in mind, this is a Canadian car, so if you are thinking about traveling from the US to buy this car, there are likely to be complications with it being imported after purchase. Also, the splitter guards are now a pinkish-purple, which may start a new fad in the Hellcat world.

That being said, if you are a Canadian who wants to buy a 717-horsepower Daytona Hellcat Charger, Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Toronto has one for sale.

American Units

When this piece goes live, we have not heard from any dealerships in the United States which have received a 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition. However, we talked to Butch Hora, the SRT Representative for Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Virginia Beach, and he explained that they are currently waiting for their first Hellcat Daytona Charger to arrive. The car that they are waiting on is also B5 Blue and, like the car in Toronto, it is not spoken for.

In short, 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition cars are arriving at dealerships starting this week. If you are Canadian and want to get your hands on one, Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Toronto has one available and if you are American, Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Virginia will soon have a similar car available as well.

As for those of you who ordered a 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Daytona Anniversary Edition earlier this year, it shouldn’t be too long before your car reaches the dealership. It seems that right now, the cars being shipped are B5 Blue, but based on the transport lot pictures, the Daytona Edition cars in other cars are ready to ship as well.
