Recalls for a new year

by David Zatz on

FCA is welcoming you to 2020 with a Jeep/Fiat recall covering the rather similar 2020 Renegade and 500X, because the right rear caliper may have been damaged during the casting process. The recall (#19V909 or VE8) is slated to start on or before February 7.  Fewer than 2,000 vehicles are affected; only cars made from November 14 through December 11 (December 6 for the Fiat) got the bad calipers, caused by a Tier II supplier using a bad tool.  The brakes were made by ZF.
