Chrysler workers to get good profit-sharing checks

There may be scandals around how the past UAW leadership brokered deals, but the membership is doing quite well from at least one contract provision: profit-sharing. Around 44,000 UAW employees are eligible to get $7,280 in profit sharing from the company’s 2019 profits, as part of the old 2015 agreement.

While FCA did fairly poorly outside North America, that doesn’t affect the UAW people: the profit-sharing checks are based on North American numbers only.

Since the 2009 bankruptcy, Chrysler and FCA have invested over $14 billion in the United States, creating or re-creating nearly 30,000 jobs.
