Here’s when we’ll find out the new name; PSA merging into FCA

by David Zatz on

Did you wonder what they’ll call the company that contains Mopar (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram), Fiat (Alfa Romeo, Maserati), and Peugeot (Citroën, DS, Opel, Vauxhall)?

You’ll find out the day after the merger is finished, not before, according to the PSA annual report (in a paragraph caught by longtime contributor T_690). For the moment, the combined entity is being called “DutchCo,” which tells us where it will be legally located—FCA itself is technically headquartered in Amsterdam.

The language regarding the merger is interesting; if approved by shareholders and other conditions are satisfied or waived, the document claims, “PSA will be merged with and into FCA.” Read into that what you will.
