It's been so long since I rebuilt a carburetor that I don't even know about soaking them now. I USED to be able to buy a one gallon bucket of carb cleaner that had a basket in it when I worked at Autozone back in the 90's but I don't know if any of the parts store sell those anymore. I'm not sure but I THINK it was Chem-Dip. Would any of you guys know if he can get that? Josias, I did a little research and found it on Amazon. This is what I'm talking about. https://www.amazon.com/Berryman-Products-0996-Arm-Chemical-Fluid_Ounces/dp/B077Y1YSZ5You don’t really need the factory service manual to rebuild the carb. The carb kit comes with detailed instructions on assembly and adjustment. The problem for a home mechanic is where to soak the carb parts to clean them out.
